Madoka Tochigi was born and raised in Japan.

Madoka won many music competitions including the “All Japan Music Competition for Students” and then she received her Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in flute at the Royal Academy of Music in the U.K. She has also been adjudicating the Kanto Plain Association of Secondary School's music festivals since 2012.

Madoka worked at British School in Tokyo for 12 years since 2007 as a flute/piano/music theory tutor. She then moved to Hokkaido and directed a concert band, choir, and AP music theory as a music teacher. Madoka is happy to teach music in a variety of styles/genres.
