Tokyo International Music School started its Choral programme in September 2022 with the foundation of the Youth Choir. Since April 2023, we have also been welcoming younger singers to our Junior Choir.
The choir programme will expand even more in September 2023 by introducing two new groups, which will allow the school to welcome singers from all ages and all levels. Please see the links below to find out more.
Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is our flagship vocal programme that has been active since the school was established in September 2022. The choir welcomes all students from age 11-19 who are keen to sing. Recent Repertoire includes I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, When I Grow Up from Matilda, and Faure’s Benedictus. Rehearsals take place every Sunday from 14:00 - 16:00 in Sangenjaya. Community Choir
From September 2023 we will be welcoming adults to our new Community Choir. All keen singers are welcome to join. Chamber Choir
This new small-scale SATB choir will challenge our most advanced singers up to age 22. Singers should be confident holding their own vocal part and have previous experience of performing in a choral setting. Rehearsals will take place on Mondays from 17:30-18:45 in Sangenjaya. Students from the Youth Choir who reach the required standard may be able to take part for free (subject to the availability of places). Click here to find out more, and to register for the group.
